BELLIARD TREVES
Client: Whitewood
Location: Brussels
Period: 2024 - ...
Status: tender
Area: 17.400 m2
Another office conversion in Brussels, this time the centrally located buildings are included in the inventory of the city’s architectural heritage and has the status of being an iconic SECO building. This poses some interesting design challenges which we will be approaching with the following strategies:
1. To empower its strong characteristics;
2. To create an active and layered ground level;
3. To use a garden as a connecting figure;
4. The inclusion of varied and spacious offices and
5. The ‘crown’ as an urban balcony.

The heritage value and identity is to be preserved as much as possible, and the quality of the space will be bolstered by state-of-the-art technical installations. The participatory process is intrinsic to the project, with the client as well heritage, urban and environmental consultants and other relevant parties playing an active role.
