Bastelare on 'De Architect'
06/05/2025
"Arc25 | Een jong koppel met een pasgeboren kind had deze verouderde woning met een grote tuin aangekocht om het te verbouwen naar hun gezinswoning. Deze woning door NWLND architecten heeft de typologie van een rijwoning, maar staat niet in de rij. Ze wordt geflankeerd door een stal en de inrit van het naarburige perceel. De klant wilde een grondige renovatie en een aanbouw."

Construction of Regent 47 started
28/03/2025
The circular renovation of this office building on the petite ceinture of Brussels started recently. The project aims for an energetic renovation of the technical installations and the shelll. All while maintaining as much as the existing structure and interior elements as possible. Certain elements don't respond to the new ambitions (BREEAM Outstanding), become obsolete, or have to be evacuated to allow for the renovation works. These products will be unmounted and should find a new life. If you're interested in reclaimed doors, door pumps, glass and closed partitions, sanitary equipment, ... do have a look at the website bazaar.build !!! (you should subscribe but then have easy access to an expansive lot of interior elements for re-use).
We're eagerly looking for companies or people interested in reclaiming materials and interior elements to avoid that they end up in the trash.
For Whitewood, executed by In Advance sa, Beddeleem and Alfa Group
Regent47 was awarded the Renolab.b award last year and we aim to make it into an exemplary project for re-use and a circular approach in Brussels and Central Europe.

Atelier PPW on 'The Architectural Review'
29/11/2024
"‘When approaching a new project, NWLND Rogiers Vandeputte Architects founders Bert Rogiers and Pieter Vandeputte are likely to pass over cups of pens and iMacs stationed at their desks to reach instead for Occam’s razor,’ writes Reuben J. Brown, ‘the principle that the simplest available solution is also usually the best.’
‘Often in NWLND’s projects (pronounced ‘New Land’), this means deriving one key idea to unlock a series of knock‑on benefits.’ It is ‘not only about a nice window opening or a sculptural element,’ cofounder Bert Rogiers tells J Brown, ‘it is about finding a system.’ These systems offer NWLND’s buildings a high degree of technical rigour, but also frequently unlock spatial value and a density of potential programmes their clients didn’t realise was there."
